Skagit Valley Medical Center is located in Mount Vernon, Washington. It opened in 1958. It started with 2 floors with 100 beds. A third floor was built in 1964 and then in 1972, a Northwest wing was added along with 40 bed, 2 operating rooms, and a 10-bed recovery room. They had a new diagnostic wing and emergency room added in 1987.
